Former CSI President Sheldon B. Israel
Former CSI President Sheldon B. Israel, FCSI, Lifetime Member, CDT, of Boynton Beach, Florida, has passed away.
"Sheldon began his career as an architectural draftsman and was quickly promoted to specifications writer," according to the announcement appearing in the Palm Beach Post. "He moved his family to Coral Springs, FL, in 1972, and opened his own specifications practice, as a building materials consultant and over time, an expert witness in high profile court cases. Mark Dorsey, FASAE, CAE, Selected as New Executive Director and CEO of CSI
Mark Dorsey, FASAE, CAE, has been selected by CSI’s Board as the new Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of CSI. Dorsey will join CSI’s staff at the organization’s headquarters in Alexandria, VA, at the beginning of September. Read More...

Former CSI President R. Stanley Bair, FCSI, CCS
Former CSI President R. Stanley Bair, FCSI, CCS, died on Saturday, June 20.
Bair joined CSI in 1959 as a member of the Dallas Chapter, according to a biography posted at www.fcsinet.org. He moved to the Houston Chapter in 1967. He would serve in various positions in these chapters and in the Institute itself during the next two decades, culminating in his serving as president of CSI in 1979.
Bair became a Fellow in 1972. Read More...

Leave no Stone Unturned

It’s like turning over a stone that caught your attention only to find hidden structure and brilliance underneath. CSI's National Board Meets 3/1 in Kansas City
CSI's national Board will meet Sunday, March 1, from 8am-2pm in Kansas City, Missouri, at Embassy Suites Kansas City - International Airport. Members and others who wish to observe the meeting are welcome to attend. CSI does not reimburse for or cover any travel, hotel or meal expenses for members and guests observing the Board meeting.
